Grants
The Denton Benefit League raises funds for local philanthropic purposes. Grant recipients must meet DBL's stated criteria and apply for the grant through a multi-step process. Qualification criteria and the application process are outlined in detail in the 2011 Denton Benefit League Grant Policy.
In general, recipients must be non-profit, non-political, and non-sectarian and must be located in and provide benefits or services in Denton County, north of Lake Lewisville, primarily in the City of Denton and contiguous communities. Grant recipients must also be locally governed or managed and must have been in continuous operation in the Denton locale for at least three years. Grants are intended for the recipient organization only and cannot be re-allocated or sub-granted and must be used for the stated purpose.
